Program Overview
A program serving small farmers by purchasing dates at preferential prices compared to the market, provided the farmer applies modern irrigation systems. This encourages water conservation in the Kingdom. After receiving the dates, they are processed and delivered to beneficiaries across all emirates and more than 450 associations throughout the Kingdom. Additionally, the dates are shipped domestically and internationally as gifts from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Program Objectives
- Contribute to increasing the income of small farm owners by purchasing their date harvest at competitive prices.
- Enhance farm quality by restricting registration in the program to farmers applying sound agricultural practices.
- Support water conservation through exclusive registration of farmers using modern irrigation systems.
- Strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership in humanitarian donations by packaging received dates as gifts from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, distributed internationally to needy families.
Program Conditions
- Applicant must be a Saudi national, aged 21 years or older.
- Farm area must be 50 dunams or less.
- Number of palm trees in the farm must be 500 or fewer.
- Must apply modern irrigation systems.
- Attendance of training workshops is required (details provided in the registration mechanism).
