Program Overview

In line with enhancing the vision of excellence in the global palm and date sector, the National Center for Palm and Dates established this international award, which includes three main categories aimed at stimulating pioneering research, encouraging innovations, and developing products in the palm and dates sector. The award also supports researchers in applying and exchanging expertise to develop new solutions that improve the quality and sustainability of palms and dates. The Center organizes this annual award to contribute to advancing scientific, technical, and innovative development in the palm and dates sector by individuals and organizations from various countries around the world.

 

Program Objectives

 

• Contribute to achieving national priorities in research, development, and innovation.
• Honor entities, institutions, and individuals who contribute to advancing the palm and dates sector.
• Encourage innovation and practical solutions for developing unique technologies, products, and practices in the palm and dates sector.
• Attract talented researchers, innovators, creators, and experts in the palm and dates sector.

 

Program Conditions

 

• Applications must be submitted in Arabic or English only.
• Submitted works must not have previously participated in any other national or international awards or competitions.
• Winners are not allowed to reapply until three years have passed since their last win.
• Applicants may submit to only one category.
• All application files are kept confidential at the Secretariat of the National Center for Palm and Dates International Award and will not be returned to applicants, regardless of the outcome.
• Applicants must specify the framework under which the work was conducted, including potential partners, stakeholders, and sources of funding.
